Initializing New Users

To begin initializing new users, navigate to the main screen of the application and click manage, and users. There are a couple ways to initialize users.

Method When to use
Upload User List When wanting to add many new users at a time
Add User When there are a low number or only one user to add at a time

Upload Users

Use this method to quickly add a large number of users. This method takes some time to setup. In order to get started with the Upload users method, you will need to create a csv file with a certain format. Please reach out to Dwight Sommers or Blake Stoller for further information.

After the file has been created, click the upload User list button.

Click choose file and choose the file you have created for the upload. Then click Upload. If users already exist in the system there will be an error shown. Please remove any users which may already be in the system and try again.

Ensure that the newly created users have been assigned to their respective area.

Add User

Use this method to quickly add a small number of users. Click the “Add User” button to get started.

You will be taken to a new page to create the new user.

Field Use Notes
Employee Number Used to verify the employee when they are activating their account. Additionally, this is used to help with automatic payroll exports (currently in development) Ensure this is correct, the employee will not be able to activate their account if it is not
First Name - -
Last Name - -
Birth Date Used to verify the employee when they are activating their account Ensure this is correct. The employee will not be able to activate their account if it is not
Hire Date Used to note when the employee was hired. This ensures the employee cannot activate their account until this date -
Min Working Hours Used to ensure that an employee stays within the associated benefits package -
Max Working Hours Used to ensure that an employee stays within the associated benefits package -

After you have completed filling out the form, click “Create User”.

Ensure that the newly created user has been assigned to their respective area.
